We're Gearing Up For 2010

In John 6, the Word of God says that Jesus went up on a mountain side, and sat down with His disciples, and when He looked up He saw a large crowd of people coming toward Him.
As I was reading this one day I felt the Holy Spirit speak to my heart saying, "Just as Jesus repositioned Himself, by going up the side of the mountain, we must also reposition our lives, our plans, and yes even our finances, so the we to may really see the people who need Jesus."

We praise God, that even in the midst of uncertain times, many are repositioning their lives, their plans and their finances to come and share the gospel of Christ in Guatemala for 2010. This looks to be our largest volunteer team year since our beginning, and we praise God for His provisions.

Here's the Schedule that we have so far for 2010:

January - Take a trailer and supplies down by truck.
January 16-23 The boys from Alabama/Mississippi are coming for a week of construction/evangelism as we began a second story on the dormitory.
The dormitory gets alot of use as seminary classes are held there as well as pastor training and other events, including housing teams when they come. One day we hope it will become the first high school in the Piedra Partida area.

February 13 - 20 Mars Hill Baptist along with a few folks from Sharon Baptist will come with a team of 18 to do a variety of things with their gifts and talents.

March 6-13 Oakland Baptist, Rutledge,TN, will bring a team of 20 who will also serve in a variety of areas. This will be Oakland's 5th or 6th year in a row to come to Guatemala.

March 22 - 29 The ministry staff of Mars Hill Baptist will come and visit several areas, praying for and encouraging the pastors while holding services in the villages.

April 3 - 10 The Bridge Church is going high in the mountains to Choanla, a mountain village 12,000 feet above sea level. We will have a VBS in the church building that their congregation helped build this past year.

April 17-29 Wynne Baptist will come with their medical team, holding clinics in Las Mercedes, La Montanita and Limoncitos. Last year some 1800 people were seen and heard the gospel of our Lord.

May 8 - 15 We are changing gears and heading to Mexico to start construction on the first Baptist Church in Guasave, Sinaloa, with pastors David and Marco.

June 5 - 12 FBC Shreveport will be returning to serve again with medical and construction.
June 12-19 FBC Groves, TX is bringing a team of youth. This will be a first experience for many coming on this trip.
June 19 - 26 We are back in Mexico with Mars Hill Baptist for their Sport's Clinics held in and around Guasave.

July 3- 10 FBC Pulaski, TN will be back for their fourth annual mission trip to Guatemala.
July 24 - 31 Wynne Baptist will return with their second team of the year to do evangelism in the villages.

I pray that this news finds you well and that you are serving the Lord with ALL your heart.

Lewis and Donna

It's so exciting to see how God has opened up this ministry and so many are now responding. We are praying for the next Guatemala trip as Buddy's heart is with those dear people down there. Thank you Lewis for standing firm and having the patience to let God speak to the hearts of people you wanted so badly to reach. A truly wonderful ministry.
