We Wrapped Up the Week in Guatemala .....

with our good friends from Mars Hill Baptist, Lawrenceburg,TN and The Bridge, Spring Hill,TN, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all who have come and served with us in Guatemala this year. This has been perhaps our greatest year in ministry since When Will We Cry was founded in 2002. Praise be to our Lord!
THANK YOU all who have partnered with us with your prayers, going and giving!

John Howard, WWWC board member, and his wife Eva are mission veterans, and members of The Bridge, a new church plant in Spring Hill, TN. They are two very dear friends who have been faithfully committed to the ministry of When Will We Cry? and the work in Guatemala for more than five years. Their love and sacrifice has touched the hearts of many and we are forever grateful for their love, friendship and service.

It's been a privilege having AJ Burger, Eva's eldest son, with us on trips over the past five years. AJ is always willing to serve where ever he is needed without hesitation or question. He brings a vast technical knowledge with him and I do my best to grasp what I can with limited understanding. AJ, THANK YOU! for coming and serving the people in Guatemala.

Austin Burger, right front, is also a five year veteran in coming to Guatemala. Austin, like his older brother AJ has grown into a mature young man, and has a heart to serve. It's always great to have "young blood" on a team because there are always children looking for a game of soccer, and after a day in the heat us old timers just don't have the energy. Austin, THANKS for coming!

Oldest team member, Solomon Baumann, Buddy, and the youngest, Reyn Haun didn't know one another before the trip. We found out they both liked to horse around though.
This was Buddy's first mission trip and at 78 years young he jumped into anything that needed doing. Reyn is on his second trip to Guatemala but had been to Mexico earlier in the summer. Like the others, I can't say enough about these guys and how they were such a blessing to be around. THANKS! Buddy and Reyn for coming to Guatemala.

Josh Fowler, an officer in the United States Air Force, is married to one of my former youth, John's daughter Whitney. Josh who recently returned from Iraq, gave up another week away from his family to come and serve on the team. Josh, an electrical engineer, helped on several projects during the week. Josh, THANK YOU for your service to our country and our Lord!

Jim Brewer, who is also a WWWC board member, made his first trip to Guatemala August 1. Jim's heart was touched deeply by what he saw and experienced while on the trip. I praise God for all that he is doing.
Jim and his wife Betsy are long time dear friends to Donna and me, and members at Mars Hill Baptist Church. I am so very grateful to Jim and Betsy, and for all our Lord is doing in their lives. THANK YOU Jim, for coming to Guatemala.

Shelby Bonner, from Mars Hill Baptist, made her first trip to Guatemala on August 1. Shelby, like the other team members, faired the heat as well as the cold showers to help make a difference in the lives of the people there. THANK YOU! Shelby for your service.
